Around Green Tree Inn...

Fall 2012

We anxiously awaited the fall colors to arrive and were pleasantly surprised that they exceeded our expectations. The maple tree behind the Inn provided a burst of color initially and then the others followed. The fall season at the Inn was basically a blur of cooking, cleaning, and meeting guests and making new friends. We loved every minute of it! There were lots of traffic in the village during the fall season. Folks coming thru the village are always invited to stop and meet us and see the Inn. Hopefully you will want to come back and stay with us:) Or perhaps you will find a unique treasure in our antique room.
We have been very blessed to host some great folks affiliated with Principia College. We hosted family members of alumni being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Then we were very fortunate to host the guest speakers for the Maybeck celebration at Principia College. It was so interesting to meet a direct descendant of Bernard Maybeck, author Paul Craig and his wife and Paul Bockhorst whose documentary film was debuted at the Maybeck celebration.
Before we knew it, it was time to begin decorating for Christmas. I was able to set up my Village Square collection. Who would have know when I started collecting my village that I would live in a village! My snowman collection was quite at home in the Inn also. It was so nice to share it and see so many folks it enjoy it.
We hosted guests as well as family members over Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. It was great to mix family with new friends. The family members that ended up sleeping on air mattresses were great sports that I had rented the guest rooms to paying guests. I think our guests were happy to help us eat all our homemade holiday desserts.
